He conflict was between the mother and the daughter. Also another thing is that her mother would tell her that she was prodigy at crying and that would make her cry even more. So in the beginning the mother would go to her daughter and tell her not to play piano but her daughter doesn't want to listen to her mother is telling her to do because she wants to do what she wants to do.
